Prior to founding Redboom, Allen was the CTO and Co-founder of Tira Wireless, the 4th fastest growing wireless company in North America in 2007 as ranked by Deloitte. Under Allen's leadership, Tira has revolutionized the way mobile content is created, adapted and deployed. Its flagship Jump technology has become the platform of choice for many of the world's leading digital content brand owners.
As a highly respected technical innovator and business leader, Allen is often called upon to present at industry seminars and international conferences including JavaOne, ØreDev, GDC Europe, Montreal Game Summit and CommunicAsia. His byline has also appeared in publications such as Wireless Business & Technology, DevX, Fierce Developer and Java World. Allen has always demonstrated the vision and skills necessary to design and develop industry-leading communications products from conception through to completion. Prior to Tira, he led research and development efforts at Symantec, where he spearheaded the development of Symantec's premier products. Allen holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. With years of experience in mobile and internet related technologies, Ivan is a leader in the convergence of these areas. Before Redboom, Ivan led development teams at Tira Wireless to help media companies including Disney, Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures to successfully deploy their wireless services. Ivan was also a principal engineer in creating Tira's patent-pending, award-winning Jump platform.
