Wattpad announced today the appointment of mobile industry veterans Matt Golden and Kenny Chan to its Advisory Board.

Since co-founding Tira Wireless in 2001, Matt Golden has been a driving force behind the company's successful visionary approach to mobile content deployment. As SVP Corporate Development, Matt heads the team responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with all participants in the mobile content value chain, and leads corporate merger and acquisition activity. Under his guidance, Tira has grown to become a recognized industry leader, consistently delivering strong year over year revenue growth through strategic mergers, acquisitions and industry partnerships.

Matt came to Tira from Brightspark Ventures LP, Canada's leading early stage venture capital firm. As Director of New Ventures, he applied his entrepreneurial skills to building financial networks, raising capital, striking alliances and forming partnerships for the Brightspark group of companies. He also developed extensive knowledge of the emerging J2ME technologies market, which laid the foundation for Tira Wireless's vision and direction.

Prior to Brightspark, Matt practiced law at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, one of Canada's premier law firms specializing in business technology, general corporate, financial services and mergers and acquisitions.

As an expert on mobile content deployment, distribution and business development, Matt is a frequent speaker at business schools and industry events, including CTIA, Games & Mobile Forum, MECCA, Mobile Entertainment Summit and Always On Innovation Summit. Matt is a graduate of the University of Ottawa's LLB/MBA program.

Kenny is co-founder of Cherrypicks, a leading mobile solution and service provider in Asia, where he has served as Chief Operating Officer, VP of Business Development, and VP of Professional Service. Under Kenny's leadership, Cherrypicks became an award-winning mobile software solution provider that provides the first integrated mobile marketing application platform in Asia. Cherrypicks is a pioneer in turning mobile marketing, a marketing and customer relationship management concept, into a proven business. Prior to Cherrypicks, Kenny was a Manager with the Communications Industry Practice of Deloitte Consulting Asia Office focusing on license bidding, business planning and development, market research and project management. Kenny has consulted companies in Asia, Europe, and US on various business start-up issues such as market entry analysis, competition, regulation, technology, financial planning etc. Kenny developed in-depth project management experience in multi-cultural environment through managing large multi-disciplinary project teams. Kenny holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Kellogg-HKUST and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering in the University of Waterloo.
